My sculpture, "Tribal Lady", symbolizes our innate bond with nature - the earth, land, sky and water - that sustains us. It reflects my belief that we've grown detached from these life-sustaining elements to the point of unconcern, even as we contribute to their distruction.
 
This piece serves as a daily reminder that within each of us lies a fundamental urge to unite with our world and honor it. 
 
Created with red clay and fired at 2232 degrees in an electric kiln. Oil painted.
