The design process began with batik fabric brought back from Lesoto, South Africa by my mother. Strips of that fabric, eyelash yarn and copper wire wrapped around large guage copper, bookended by beads from upcycled African neckaces make up the "beads" used in the final necklace and generous earrings. Earrings sold separately. Also included in the necklace are handmade ceramic beads, brass beads, bone, small ceramic seed beads and brown satin ribbon. The medallion is made from red clay and attached by a copper wire wrap. 
 
Medallion measures 1- 3/4" in width and approx 2" in length. 
Necklace ties in back and is easily 30" opera length (32" with addition of the medallion). It can tie as small as a 16" choker length (18" with addition of medallion)
