The design process began with batik fabric brought back from Lesoto, South Africa by my mother. Strips of that fabric, eyelash yarn and copper wire wrapped around large guage copper, bookended by beads from upcycled African neckaces make up the "beads" used in the final earrings. Necklace sold separately. 
 
Antiqued copper earwire, copper wire wrapped with ceramic and glass seed beads to hold these hoops in place. 
 
Each earring measures 2" at its widest point and 4 1/2" drop
